Antigen sample collection method

Antigen samples are divided into nasopharyngeal swabs, oropharyngeal swabs and nasal swabs. The operator selects and collects them according to the requirements of the reagent instructions.

Compared with the nasopharynx and oropharyngeal swabs routinely collected for nucleic acid detection, nasal swabs are added to antigen samples. The specific collection method is that the person to be collected first blows his nose with toilet paper, and then tilts his head slightly. The sampler gently holds the head of the person to be collected with one hand, sticks the swab into one side of the nostril with the other hand, slowly penetrates 1-1.5cm backward along the bottom of the lower nasal tract, and then rotates the nasal cavity for at least 4 turns (the residence time is not less than 15 seconds), and then uses the same swab to repeat the same operation in the other nasal cavity. After slowly taking out the swab, immerse the swab head into the sampling container containing preservation solution matched with the test strip.

This is also the way residents take self-test. Those aged 2-14 years should be sampled by other adults; Those over 14 years old can take nasal swab samples by themselves.
