The new crown self-test box is a relatively popular testing product at present. Residents can buy it for their own inspection. It is easy to operate and has strong practicability. Many people will buy and use it. How to use the new crown self-test box?
Operation steps of the new crown detection kit
1. Preparation before nucleic acid self-test
Wash your hands first or quickly sanitize your hands
2. Unpacking: The kit generally includes instruction manual, test card, swab, sample extraction solution, and sample extraction tube. Please read the instruction manual before use, the operation of different brands may be slightly different
3. Open the sample extraction solution and pour it all into the sample extraction tube
4. Open the package of the test card and take out the test card. Before the test results come out, it is best not to touch the test card again to avoid contamination and affect the test results
5. If there is a lot of nasal secretions, you can blow your nose before the test
2. Specimen collection
1. Those over 14 years old can take nasal swab samples by themselves. The self-examiner first blows his nose with toilet paper. Carefully unpack the nasal swab and avoid touching the swab head with your hands. Then tilt your head slightly, hold the tail of the swab in one hand and stick it into one nostril, slowly go back along the bottom of the lower nasal passage for 1-1.5 cm, stick it to the nasal cavity and rotate it at least 4 times (stay for no less than 15 seconds), and then Repeat the same procedure on the other nasal cavity using the same swab
2. Self-examiners aged 2-14 should be sampled by other adults. When sampling, first blow your nose with toilet paper, and then tilt your head slightly. Sampling personnel carefully unpack the nasal swab, avoid touching the swab head with their hands, lightly support the head of the sampled person with one hand, stick the swab to one side of the nostril with the other hand, and slowly penetrate backward along the bottom of the lower nasal passage After 1 cm, stick to the nasal cavity and rotate at least 4 times (the dwell time is not less than 15 seconds), and then use the same swab to repeat the same operation on the other nasal cavity.
3. Antigen Detection
1. According to the reagent instructions, put the nasal swab after collecting the sample into the sampling tube immediately, swirl the swab head in the preservation solution for at least 30 seconds, and squeeze the swab head through the outer wall of the sampling tube for at least 30 seconds. 5 times to ensure that the sample is fully eluted in the sampling tube.
2. Squeeze the liquid from the swab head through the outer wall of the sampling tube by hand, then discard the swab. After the sampling tube is capped, drop the liquid vertically into the sample hole of the test card. Strictly follow the instructions in the instructions to instill, not enough drops or too many drops may cause "false negative"
3. According to the reagent instructions, the results are generally interpreted after 15-20 minutes
4. Interpretation of results
1. A red band (i.e. "two bars") at both C and T is positive
2. A red band at C is negative (i.e. "a bar")
3. If there is no red band at C, it indicates that the test is invalid and needs to be tested again
Note: Results are invalid after thirty minutes (different brands vary).
5. Disposal of self-test results
Positive antigen test
Residents should immediately report to their community (village) regardless of whether they have symptoms such as respiratory tract or fever. Nucleic acid amplification testing.
Antigen test negative
Asymptomatic residents can be closely observed, and if necessary, undergo antigen testing or nucleic acid testing. Symptomatic residents are advised to go to a medical institution with a fever clinic as soon as possible for nucleic acid testing. If it is inconvenient to see a doctor, they should self-isolate at home and avoid going out. , Conduct antigen self-test every day for 5 consecutive days.
